So I have heard a lot about this mysterious film that Eddie Redmayne was doing about a transgender lady and I wasn’t sure if I would want to see it or not.  Then I watched this:

Do I want to see it now? Well….yes, I do!

Eddie Redmayne is brilliant at capturing that human emotion and spirit without doing very much at all.  He excelled doing this with the Theory of Everything and portraying Stephen Hawking, could he do it again?  Could this be yet another potential Oscar nomination, 2 in as many years?  Who knows but I think you will agree, the trailer suggests it may not be as far fetched as it seems.

This looks to be an interesting subject matter that is a hot topic at the moment and has procured good natural performers for it.  It sounds exciting and brilliant even if it may appear to do very little.

Then there’s the devil’s advocate side of me that thinks, is this too similar to Eddie Redmayne’s previous role in The Theory of Everything to be critically acclaimed yet again?  It might be and the committee may not want to be viewed as single minded…

Whatever the outcome one thing I think will be certain.  Eddie Redmayne is more than just a one hit wonder and is here to stay.
